Connect is a Fall opportunity for folks at Trinity UMC to connect with old and new friends. The goal is for 4-8 people to make a deeper connection with one another over a 2 month period. You are invited to carve out some intentional time to rest, play, laugh, and connect with others. And that connection will surely be a place where God is present. It is a sabbath space whenever and wherever your group chooses to meet. Groups are varied. Some meet weekly and others only once or twice. We’ll begin September 14 with a Trinity “Get On Board” day at worship. Groups go through November 9.
Nursery is available for Wednesday night groups by reservation.

We’ll meet twice a month in the church parlor. We’ll take turns recommending a book that everyone could read. Or if you don’t want to read the book chosen, they could read another book and tell the group what you thought about that book. We’ll have coffee and doughnuts or something. Contact Tom Freeman at 556-6223.

Women's Walking Group will meet Wednesday nights from 5:30 to 6:30, weather permitting. Meet at the church to pick a route and spend an hour getting some exercise and great fellowship on the beautiful University of Alabama campus. Interested? Email Leah at

Do you like to talk? Now’s your chance! Every Tuesday at 9:30am we will meet at Trinity to catch up with old friends and get to know new ones. But we won’t be idle. While we’re chatting we will be making woven heart basket ornaments using red and houndstooth felt. These hearts can be used for our shut-ins, visitors, and to sell on game days (Roll Tide!). They are really easy to make, I promise. If you have a pair of fabric scissors, please bring them along. Contact Lara Townsley at or 205-409-3566.

Are you a bowler or would you like to be? Come out for Trinity’s weekly bowling night. Exact date and time is TBD. No equipment or experience is needed. Contact Dan Rodgers at 657-3644 or to join.
